Veteran's Day

I would like to offer a special Thank You to all of the Veteran's who have served in all of the branches of the Armed Forces throughout the history of our great country. Without your service and sacrifices we would not enjoy the freedoms that we have today.

From the revolutionary war, to those who currently serve our country in the War on Terrorism, our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, and Coast Guard members have sworn to defend our nation and if need be have made or are willing at any time to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

Throughout the course of my life I have had the privilege of speaking to men and women who have served in every conflict from WWI, to the present day. These people are national treasures to those of us in education, as they are living lessons in history and patriotism that we as educators can call on to help our students understand the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices that these people make so that we can live the lives that we do.

I am very proud that North Butler Community Schools is able to offer programs to our Veteran's at both the North Butler Elementary and the North Butler JH/HS. We are very appreciative of those veterans who attended our programs this year, and those community members who turned out to show their gratitude also.

As the parent of a United States Marine, I gladly thank all of our Veteran's and current service members for their service to The United States of America and our people!

Happy Veterans Day
