Accessible Public Information

As a public school administrator I believe that it is my job, as well as that of every other employee of the district to "Tell our Story". By that, I mean that it is our job to inform the public of the many great and wonderful things that happen every day within the offices, classrooms, halls, athletic venues, and fine arts programs within the North Butler Community School District. If we do not tell our story, someone else will and they are not going to tell it correctly, or as well as we can. It is also my job to keep the public informed of the many issues that the North Butler Board of Education is dealing with, or will be dealing with.

With that in mind, I am creating this blog so that I can post information in a timely manner, and leave appropriate feedback to the items that I post. Mr. Huff and I have spoken about ensuring that the North Butler Facebook page gets updated regularly, and I will also put information out via my Twitter feed, which is @jfoster_supt so you can follow me there and get school information also.

Through these open sources I plan on providing information such as Board Meeting Agenda's, notes on what happened at the board meeting that I will post the morning following the meeting, photos and notes on classroom happenings and activities, and general information and my thoughts on the things that are happening both in the district and in the world of education as a whole.

I would like the patrons of the North Butler Community Schools to know that my door is always open, and that I would like for you to stop in or call if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about what is going on in the district. I will do my best to answer your questions.

Until next time....It is great to be a Bearcat!!
